“An engaging, instructional work that could be a pet owner’s best friend.” ~Kirkus Reviews
So I splurged for Kirkus review. Some sources claim it’s not helpful enough to bother, some say it’s a good way to go. I decided to give it a try and see where it leads. So I have my Kirkus review now. Full review can be seen here.
I had to smile when I read the part about me going into graphic detail about such subjects as vomit and feces; being a dog mom for a long time, I found those things normal, and, more importantly, a vault of useful information. The reviewer does admit that it is highly educational. Life is gross; get used to it. I recall all the times when I was analyzing either the poop or vomit, looking for clues that could explain my dog’s diarrhea or vomiting. I remember extracting, washing and piecing together parts of plastic packaging to see how much came out and how much might have still remained in the system. You glove-up and man-up and do what you have to do.
